Creator of WinMacros
"One day, I got annoyed because I couldn't find an app or script to set custom keybinds for different apps on Windows. So, I decided to create WinMacros using AutoHotkey v2. It's super lightweight, open-source, and easy to set up. It lets you create powerful macros, automate tasks, and simplify your workflow without any bloat."

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I open WinMacros?

You can open it using Ctrl + Alt + M.

How can I open the Power Menu?

Use Alt + Backspace to quickly access it.

Is WinMacros a virus?

Nope, it's completely safe! I'm just a small developer making apps for myself and sharing them with others. Sometimes the setup installer might give a warning saying it's a virus, but that's just a false positive, it's not malware. WinMacros is also open-source, so you can check the code yourself if you want. You can trust it, I promise 🙂

Which Windows versions are supported?

WinMacros only works on Windows 10 and 11. It won't run on older versions.

Does it slow down my computer?

Not at all! WinMacros is very lightweight. It usually uses about 4-5 MB of memory, sometimes a little more, and won't get in the way of other apps.

Can I get banned for using WinMacros in games?

Well no, you can't get banned. I personally used it in many games and never got banned at all. The program is made for launching apps or binding your exe files, and other misc stuff. That's all, so you can't get banned for that.

But when it comes to some games, they might restrict WinMacros from running because of the anticheat. Since it's made in AutoHotkey v2, it's better to close it before you launch the game.

You might ask why?

Well because AutoHotkey can also be used to make cheats or other stuff, so some games block any program made with it just to be safe. For example, in EA FC 25 the EA anticheat will give a warning like this:
